EMERGJENCA E PËRMBYTJEVE SHKODËR 2010

Këta bashkepuntorë duke vlerësuar edhe situatën reale të përmbytjeve në zonën e Shkodrës në këtë takim hodhën idenë dhe inisiativën që ky grup i cili perfaqëson gjeografikisht qendrat e Caritas-it te Jugut, të organizojë një fushatë sensibilizuese dhe solidariteti me banorët e zonave të prekura nga përmbytja.
Në periudhën 16 – 23 Janar 2010 bashkëpuntorët e Caritas-it kanë realizuar një fushatë sensibilizuese me banorët e Jugut në shkolla, rrugë, kishë, lokale etj. Të gjithë kanë folur për veshtirësitë që banorët e zonave të përmbytura po kalojnë, për castet e vështira të qindra familjeve. Të gjithë kanë kërkuar që brenda mundësive të secilit të munden të dhurojnë dicka për një grua, një fëmijë, një gjysh apo një të sëmurë që gjendet në veshtirësi.
Për një javë rresht me qindra banorë kanë dhuruar dicka nga vetja e tyre, nga veshjet, nga ushqimi i tyre. Përgjegjësit e qendrave Caritas kanë organizuar qendrat e pritjes së donacioneve në Sarandë, Vlorë, Fier, Korcë, Elbasan dhe Mollas. Punonjësit e qendrave Caritas kanë bërë përzgjedhjen dhe paketimin e materialeve që cdo gjë të jetë konform dinjitetit të personave edhe pse në nevojë.
Caritas –i Shqiptar ka perkrahur këtë inisiative si dhe ka lehtësuar trasportimin e materialeve nga qendrat pritëse drejt zyrave qëndrore te Caritas-it Shqiptar. Transporti është kryer më 25 dhe 27 Janar 2010. Caritas-i Shqiptar ka lehtësuar gjithashtu edhe komunikimin me 2 famulli të prekura në Dajc dhe Velipoje. Më 1 Shkurt 2 Kamionet me mallrat e dhuruara nga banoret e Jugut sëbashku me një ekip vullnetaresh, punonjësish të  Caritas-it dhe drejtoreshes se Jugut kanë shoqeruar këta kamione drejt Dajcit dhe Velipojes si simbol solidariteti me banoret e ketyre 2 zonave.
Kjo inisiativë kishte një rendësi shumë të madhe në këtë emergjence jo thjesht për materialet e dhuruara që do të shkojne në ndihme të banoreve më të prekur por si një shprehje e solidaritetit të popullit me grupet më në nevoje.
“Viviani kthehet nga shkolla dhe i thote tezes se në shkolle u kane treguar se në Shkoder ka shumë femije që jane prekur nga permbytjet dhe kanë nevoje që secili nga ne të dhurojë dicka. Tezja i pergjigjet se kane disa bluza qe ajo nuk i vesh më dhe mund ti japin. Por Viviani nuk eshte dakort, ajo thotë se duhet te dhurojë dicka nga vetja jo dicka qe nuk e perdor më. Ngrihet shkon ne sirtarin e rrobave te veta. Zgjedh një nga bluzat e preferuara dhe thote: këtë bluzen me Ëinksat e dua shumë dhe këtë do dhuroj se një vajzë te permbytjet do gezohet shumë kur ta shohë”
Secili nga ne edhe me një gjest të vogel mund të dhurojë buzëqeshje e gezim aty ku ka nevojë.

Solidarity among Albanians.

Caritas Albania in collaboration with Diocesan Caritases have tried with all human and material capacity to assist affected communities.
The year 2010 began with a flood emergency that wasn’t seen for years. Many areas of Shkodra for several weeks have been isolated from water. Caritas Albania, Diocesan Caritas of Shkodra and Caritas centers were mobilized to be close to residents.

Often it is spoken whether Albanians are solider people or not. If the citizens are ready to be involved in awareness campaigns in the layers we need assistance or not?
Caritas Albania and structures of the Catholic Church have expressed this solidarity many times. Many Caritas volunteer centers in the area of Shkodra were mobilized and helped evacuated residents. Many poor families, who were affected from the floods, were accommodated in Caritas centers .In this emergency a special initiative was implemented by Caritas South.
On 16th January, in Elbasan , Caritas South, elaborated the next regular formative meeting  . Msgr. George Frendo and Msgr.HIL Kabashi were invited at this meeting.  In these formative meetings of 30 collaborators layman’s, Caritas South has the opportunity to deepen their knowledge about Caritas charitable activities, the basic principles of the Catholic Church, spiritual and social activity with the categories in need of the society

These collaborators evaluating the real situation of flooding in the area of Shkodra in this meeting gave an idea and took the initiative that this group which represents the geographical centers of South Caritas, will organize a campaign of awareness and solidarity for the residents of affected areas.
In the period from 16 to 23 January 2010, Caritas associates have conducted a campaign of sensitizing the residents of the South in schools, street, church, bars, etc. All have spoken of the difficulties that residents of flooded areas are passing, for the difficult moments of hundreds of families. All have sought opportunities in order that each of them can donate something for a woman, a child, a grandparent or a sick which is in difficulties.                   
During a week hundreds of people have stayed in a row to donate something from their food, and clothing. The responsible people of Caritas centers have organized the reception for the donations of Sarande, Vlore, Fier, Korce, Elbasan and Mollas. Caritas centers’ workers have made the selection and packaging of the materials and everything was conform the dignity of the people in need.

Caritas Albania has supported this initiative as well as facilitating the transportation of the materials from the host centers to the headquarters of Caritas Albania. Transport is carried out in 25 and 27 January 2010. Caritas Albania has also facilitated the communication with affected parishes of Dajc and Velipoje. On 1st February, 2 truckloads of goods donated by residents of the South, a team of voluntary workers of Caritas South and its director have accompanied these trucks towards Dajci and Velipoje as a symbol of solidarity with the residents of these two areas.

This initiative had a very great importance in this emergency not merely for the donated materials that will be a  help to  the affected residents, but as an expression of solidarity with groups of people in need.
“Vivian came back from school and told her aunt that at school have told her that in Shkodra there were many children who were affected by floods and it was necessary for each of them to donate something. Aunt responded that she had some shirts that she did not need anymore. But Vivian did not agree, she said that she should give something of herself not something that she didn’t use. She opened her clothes drawer .Chose one of the favorite blouses and said that she was going to give in charity her favorite blouse, the one that she loved more, because she thought that this thing would rejoice a girl affected by the floods,   when she will see it.”

Each of us with a small gesture can donate a smile and joy where there is need.
