When asked to define communication, how would you define? Mostly of people will relate to the forms of communication as talking or listening. But communication goes beyond that, is how we give and receive information and convey our ideas and opinions with those around us.

If I say something and you understand something else, is this a communication? Communication it’s much more than just to talk or to listen, it’s about creating and sharing ideas. In order to be effective at communicating, there are a number of skills that you can rely.

Communication skills are important for everyone, especially in the work world, communication skills are critical in many situations. These include going on job interviews, asking questions when you need help on an unfamiliar project, training other employees, and dealing with customers.

We started Communication Skills as part of Soft Skills, with students of Non-Public High School “Rogacionistet”, Lezhe and after the completion of the session, students will be able to:

  • Explain the importance of communication in life.
  • Identify the components of communication process.
  • Differentiate and integrate verbal and non-verbal categories of communication.
  • Listing different barriers of communication, they experience.
  • Explain how to overcome these communication barriers.

We also provided the students with a checklist on Communication Skills so that each of them could see his or her level of communication skills, to improve their communication skills.
